Note for Marion — please review & confirmThis is a working template setting out sensible terms for a Havening practice, with a clear wellbeing disclaimer. It isn’t legal advice — please read it through, confirm the highlighted items, and have it (and your disclaimer wording) checked against your insurer’s requirements before going live. Items to confirm:
Welcome, and thank you for visiting For Haven Sake. These terms explain the basis on which we offer our services, together with an important disclaimer about what Havening is and isn’t. Please take a moment to read them — by using this website or booking with us, you agree to them.
These terms apply to your use of the For Haven Sake website and to any sessions or services you book with us. We may update them from time to time; the version published here is the one that applies. If anything is unclear, please ask before booking.
“We”, “us” and “our” refer to For Haven Sake ([legal/trading name to confirm]), run by Marion Judd. “You” refers to the person using the site or booking a session.
For Haven Sake offers sessions using Havening Techniques® — a gentle, psychosensory wellbeing approach — online across the UK and in person locally. Sessions are intended to support relaxation, calm and emotional wellbeing.
Havening is a complementary wellbeing approach. It is not counselling, psychotherapy, or medical or psychological treatment, and we do not diagnose, treat or cure any medical or psychological condition.
Havening is not a substitute for medical, psychiatric or psychological care. It should not be used in place of advice or treatment from a qualified healthcare professional, and you should not stop or change any prescribed treatment without speaking to the professional responsible for your care.
If you are in crisis or need urgent help, please contact your GP, call the Samaritans on 116 123, or call 999. Our service is not an emergency or crisis service.
Any information on this website is provided for general interest only and does not constitute medical, psychological or professional advice. You should always seek the guidance of a suitably qualified professional regarding any health concern.
So that we can work together safely, you agree to:
If you have a significant health condition, we may ask you to confirm that your GP or specialist is happy for you to take part. We may decline or pause sessions where we feel that is the safest course.
We offer a free discovery call so you can ask questions and we can both see whether Havening feels right for you. Booking a call or a session does not create any obligation to continue, and we may both decide that our service isn’t the right fit.
Current session fees are shown on our pricing page. The discovery call is free. [Confirm current fees and whether any VAT applies.]
Payment is arranged directly with us after your discovery call — never through this website. Details of how to pay will be confirmed once you decide to go ahead.
We understand that life happens. If you need to move or cancel an appointment, please let us know as early as you can so we can offer the time to someone else.
[Confirm your notice period and any charge — e.g. “Appointments cancelled with less than 24/48 hours’ notice may be charged in full.”]
For online sessions, you are responsible for having a private, quiet space where you won’t be disturbed, a suitable device with a camera, and a reasonably stable internet connection. If technical issues interrupt a session, we’ll do our best to reconnect or to rearrange the remaining time fairly.
What you share with us is treated with care and kept confidential, and handled in line with our Privacy Policy. In rare circumstances we may need to share information where the law requires it, or where there is a serious risk to your safety or someone else’s.
Everyone is different, and experiences of Havening vary from person to person. While many people find it helpful, we cannot and do not guarantee any particular outcome or result. Any examples or testimonials shared on this website reflect individual experiences and are not a promise of what you will experience.
All content on this website — including text, images, branding and design — belongs to For Haven Sake or is used with permission, and may not be copied or reused without our consent.
Havening Techniques® and Havening® are registered trademarks. Marion practises using these techniques [accreditation / affiliation wording to confirm] and makes no claim to ownership of the trademarks.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this website, or from your reliance on its content. Our services are offered in good faith and depend in part on the information you share with us and on your own engagement.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We welcome children and young people, always with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian, who is responsible for bookings and for agreeing to these terms on the young person’s behalf.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the courts of England and Wales. [Confirm this is correct for you.]
If you have any questions about these terms, please contact us at marion@forhavensake.com. We’re always happy to talk anything through.
